Features

Net Zero / Off-Grid

With efficient all-electric heating and hot water ((>300% efficient heat pump) this home will produce more energy than it uses with 13.2 KW producing over 21,000 KWH of energy annually. The home is wired and designed to accommodate an additional 5.3 KW of solar for powering electric vehicles, or any other potential power uses. We will install this additional array for you, very inexpensively. With a Sol Ark Hybrid inverter, the whole house system is set up to add batteries or a generator, and we will also do this for you!

Radiant Heating

The Wyoming Outlier house will optimize comfort with in-floor radiant heating. Radiant heating controls temperature optimally without moving air, which naturally cools the person while helping heat to rise up out of the occupant zone. The system will provide cooling as well for the few days needed. Thermal mass, natural ventilation, and windows shaded from the summer sun will prevent most overheating situations.

Window Design and Views

When have you seen a speculative home designed to maximize views? That’s right, never. When have you seen a builder home with triple-pane premium windows throughout. Again, you haven’t. With Alpen triple-pane windows and passive solar architecture, the Wyoming Outlier house has optimal lighting, optimal passive solar heating, and you have to see those views. Built on the last 2-acre lot before endless and uninterrupted views to the south, we have certainly taken advantage of some of the best views found in Laramie. Every mountain range is visible from the great rooms both up and down stairs

Floor Plan

The sloping hillside provides light and views on both levels with impressive decks wrapping most of the upper floor. The challenge of locating the garage on the high side provided an opportunity to create an enlarged garage with a drive through

Room to Improve

The basement boasts a spectacular great room with light and windows on all sides courtesy of the open floor and windows above the staircase. The nearly 1000sf of unfinished space has been designed for a fourth and fifth bedroom including plumbing for a second primary suite. Designed with room to grow and room to customize and add equity to this house
